Located along US Highway 24 just east of Belvue, this is one of four nearly identical through girder spans within approximately one half mile.
Built in approximately 1900, the bridge consists of a single through girder span, set onto concrete substructures. While the bridge does not actively cross a waterway, it appears that field drainage and floodwaters often go under this bridge.
While the plaque has been removed from the bridge, there are other similar bridges in Dickinson County that are similar. The author is doing further research to confirm a build date.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition, with no significant deterioration noted. Some minor spalling was noted throughout the substructures, although the superstructure is in excellent condition.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
